Zero Waste Homemade Tacos

I love these tacos and they are one of the easiest recipes I’ve every made! seriously no need to buy those preservative filled, and plastic packaged tortillas ever again! These can be made with white flour, whole wheat flour, or brown rice flour, and all of the ingredients can be bought in bulk!

Ingredients- yeild 6 tortillas

1 cup of flour (white, wheat, or brown rice)

3/4 cup water + 1 tablespoon

1 tsp oil (coconut, or olive)

pinch of salt

-Mix all ingredients together in a medium size bowl. Let rest for 10 to 20 minutes.

– Portion dough into 1 inch balls,

– Sprinkle flour on counter and roll out dough in a small circle until it is less than ⅛ inch thickness, or use a tortilla press

– Cook in pan on medium high, 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until it begins to bubble/puff up

Now with less than 30 minutes you have your own delicious and zero waste tortillas. Top with anything you like! These are great to make with your kids or when you have friends over for dinner. Enjoy!
